Computer Science Teacher
Grades: 3rd - 5th
Hello!  I am so excited about my new position, and teaching your child this year.  This is my first year teaching Computer Science.  Even though this is my first year in this new position, it is my 23rd year in education.  I have taught 4th grade, 2nd grade, 1st grade, and Kindergarten.  Most of my years were spent in Kindergarten.  This is my 16th year teaching at Kelly Edwards.  Before moving to Kelly Edwards, I taught in Aiken County.
I have been married to my husband, Charles, for 16 years, and we have two children, Anna Kate and Bradley.
I completed my BA in Elementary Education, from USCA, and added on my Early Childhood Certification. I have also attained my Gifted and Talented Endorsement through College of Charleston.
I have my Masters Degree from Southern Wesleyan, and I am working on my Masters +30.
I received my National Board Certification in 2010.  I do not think we can ever stop learning, and growing.
This year our 3rd - 5th graders are not only learning proper keyboard techniques, but they are learning to code.  We started by learning binary codes, and are now going into  I hope all of my scholars will develop a love for computer programming, and see all of the advantages of choosing a career in this field.
